Juventus Officially Signs Portuguese National Team Midfielder

Juventus has announced on their official website the successful signing of midfielder Francisco Conceicao on loan from Porto.

Francisco Conceicao becomes Juventus’ seventh signing of the 2024 summer transfer window. The Portuguese player joins the Old Lady of Turin on a one-year loan deal from Porto.

The loan agreement between Juventus and Porto does not include a purchase option. If the 21-year-old forward performs well, the club may consider this option after the 2024/25 season concludes.

Francisco Conceicao officially joins Juventus.

Francisco Conceicao is the son of Sergio Conceicao, who served as Porto’s head coach from 2017 to 2024. The Portuguese player was given opportunities to develop under his father’s guidance at Porto.

Last season, Francisco Conceicao scored 5 goals and provided 4 assists. Born in 2002, he is versatile and effective on both wings, known for his technical skills and dribbling ability.

Francisco Conceicao was named in Portugal’s squad for EURO 2024, where he scored the winning goal in their 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic in the opening match.

Previously, Juventus had signed Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa), Michele Di Gregorio (Monza), Khephren Thuram (Nice), Juan Cabal (Hellas Verona), Pierre Kalulu (AC Milan), and Nico Gonzalez (Fiorentina). For the remainder of the 2024 summer transfer window, the Old Lady of Turin is still working to finalize the signing of Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta.
