Player Ratings for Juventus in Their Impressive Win Over PSV

Juventus kicked off their 2024/25 Champions League campaign with a relatively impressive victory over PSV Eindhoven.

Thiago Motta’s side entered their first Champions League match with the goal of securing all three points against a highly-rated opponent from the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven. In the end, they achieved this quite comfortably.

In the 21st minute, young talent Kenan Yildiz put the home team ahead with a stunning solo effort, curling the ball into the top corner. Riding that momentum, another young star, Weston McKennie, doubled the lead just six minutes later, before Nico Gonzalez added a third in the 52nd minute. PSV managed a consolation goal late in the game, courtesy of Ismael Saibari.

Played a solid game in the heart of the defense, neutralizing most of PSV’s attacks.

Aggressive from the start and composed on the ball, Bremer had a good game.

Performed well as an inverted full-back, making intelligent runs into the midfield.

Manuel Locatelli (Midfielder) – 6.5/10

Locatelli in a dispute with a PSV player.

Controlled possession and kept things simple. He was subbed off in the 57th minute to rest for Serie A.

Making his first start of the season, McKennie put in an impressive performance.

The former Atalanta player had a good match, being involved in most of the action on the pitch.

Gonzalez assisted Yildiz’s opening goal and scored Juventus’ third. An outstanding performance from the Argentine star.

The Turkish prodigy became the youngest player to score for Juventus in the Champions League, surpassing his idol Alessandro Del Piero.

Dusan Vlahovic (Striker) – 6.5/10
Despite not scoring, the Serbian striker contributed with an assist for Gonzalez’s goal.
