Arsenal’s Issues in the Champions League
ESPN has assessed that Arsenal’s fixture list in this season’s Champions League is relatively manageable.
Home opponents: Paris Saint-Germain, Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb, AS Monaco
Away opponents: Inter Milan, Atalanta, Sporting Lisbon, Girona

Arsenal avoided facing reigning champions Real Madrid as well as Bayern Munich, the team that knocked them out in the quarterfinals last season. Therefore, manager Mikel Arteta can be relatively pleased with the draw. Facing PSG without Kylian Mbappé is clearly less daunting, though Inter Milan, Serie A champions and Champions League finalists just two years ago, will present a tough challenge.
Arsenal hopes to advance comfortably. However, ESPN points out that the key issue for the Gunners is improving their away form. In their return to the Champions League after several years, Arsenal managed only one win in five away matches last season.
If they can address this, Arsenal could secure a strong finish in this season’s Champions League under the new format.
